I am committed to the process of unfolding the truth that lies within our stories, offering the healing and hope that comes from sharing them with someone who is professional, experienced, and compassionate. I believe God is the ultimate healer, as Psalm 147:3 reads “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”, and I see my work as an actively engaged companion and guide with you during this part of your journey. I know how courageous it is to seek therapy and the excitement and trepidation that can come when it's time to make different choices as we move forward. I am convinced that freedom is possible and I am honored to work with those who are ready to take the next step. My therapeutic work is creative, eclectic and flexible to the clients needs. I often incorporate art therapy, journaling, role playing, spiritual disciplines, and somatic processes to address emotional and spiritual pain. I am person-centered and strengths based in my approach. I particularly love the opportunity to work with clients wanting integration of their Christian faith and mental health. Grief and loss is also an area of expertise that I honed during my years working as a Hospice Chaplain. I thoroughly enjoy exploring the big questions that are asked during these high stakes moments that are the heart of everyone's search for meaning and purpose.

I have been working in the field of mental and integrative health for over 20 years. I am licensed as a counselor in both Colorado and Montana and have my Supervision credential in Colorado. I'm also a Certified Spiritual Director. I have worked in a variety of settings during my career with a wide range of individuals, couples, families, groups and corporations. I have also led and taught numerous classes and workshops throughout my career all over the U.S. My vocational experience includes work in higher education, community mental health centers, residential addiction treatment centers, a therapeutic boarding school for at-risk youth, nonprofit ministries, healthcare and hospice, nursing homes, assisted living centers and in my own private practice. For several years, I had my own integrative wellness business, Hiatus to Healing LLC where I did speaking engagements about emotional and spiritual wellness. I now own and run my own private practice, Treasured Counseling and Consulting, PLLC that serves clients in both Montana and Colorado.
I hold a M.A. in Counseling from Denver Theological Seminary, a M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Certification in Spiritual Direction and Soul Care from Denver Seminary. I am also Certified as an Equine Assisted Learning.
When I am not working, you can find me delving into something creative whether it be with design, art or food. I love traveling and reading a compelling book. And of course, being in Montana, playing outdoors in nature with friends and family along with my beloved Cardigan Welsh Corgi Jasper are the best kind of days!
